CBS was formed in 2003 to serve as a commercial lending service organization facilitating the origination, underwriting, closing, servicing, and portfolio management of business loans. The company, in partnership with over 60 credit unions throughout the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, New Jersey, Tennessee and West Virginia, provide business financing solutions to area small businesses that are eligible to be credit union members.

Towpath Credit Union along with other area credit unions will be participating in the 11th year of providing a pair of new shoes to needy kids in the area.

In the past 10 years we have provided new shoes and have colleced over $120,000.00 for the purchase of new shoes. They are distributed to area schools (through guidence counselors), Salvation Army, Red Cross, inner city organizations and local clothing banks.

With your support, we will be accepting new shoes or money to purchase new shoes for kids ages 5 through 17 from now until January 31 at all of our branches.

Together we can provide warm feet an happy hearts ro area children in need.

The Dennis Haynes Memorial Scholarship
A $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to an eligible area high school student. The requirements are that the applicants must be a member of Towpath Credit Union and be a senior in high school.

The Towpath Credit Union Scholarship
A $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to an eligible University of Akron student. The requirements are that applicants must be a member of Towpath Credit Union and be currently enrolled in the University of Akron

The Ohio Credit Union League Scholarship
The Summit Chapter of the Ohio Credit Union League is offering three scholarships, one for $1,500 and two for $1,000 each. If you are chosen to receive a scholarship from the Summit Chapter, your application may then be chosen to participate in the statewide scholarship program sponsored by the Ohio Credit Union League which awards five scholarships of $2,500 each. Applicants do not have to be a member of a credit union to apply.

Join us on Saturday, February 11 in the lobby of the Fairlawn branch where we will be giving personal demonstrations of the various App functions. We will have staff on hand to help download and install the App to your smart phone where you can access your accounts, pay loans or credit cards, request a statement, locate the nearest ATM and much more. We’ll give you a cup of coffee and a breakfast treat too!

In order to take advantage of the App you must first be enrolled in Extreme Green Online Access and there will be a member service representative available to take care of that for you. See you there!
