Rose Bartolomucci, President / CEO of Towpath Credit Union has been named the 2019 Professional of the Year by the Ohio Credit Union League. This award, which was presented to Bartolomucci during the Ohio Credit Union League’s annual convention in April, honors the achievements of an outstanding credit union executive who has demonstrated professionalism, integrity, dedication, and leadership in her credit union, and in the Credit Union Movement.

Bartolomucci has been in the credit union movement since 1977, and has been President / CEO of Towpath Credit Union since 2009. She is committed to ensuring that we meet our Members’ needs and is an advocate for making a financial difference in their lives. “Under Bartolomucci’s leadership, Towpath Credit Union has grown substantially and continues to be a model of what a locally run, member-owned, financial cooperative can be,” said Towpath Credit Union Senior Vice President Michael A. Sferro.
Bartolomucci has many accomplishments, including testifying before Congress and the Ohio State House to advocate for credit union rights. She spent 22 years at Kent Credit Union as President / CEO and nearly three years as the lead credit union regulator for the State of Ohio, Department of Commerce as Deputy Superintendent. She has been Chairman of the following credit union organizations: the Ohio Credit Union League, the Credit Union Executive Society, the Ohio Credit Union Foundation, and the Consumer Financial Protection Board Advisory Council in Washington, DC. Positions she has held in the past include Secretary of the Board for the Credit Union National Association and board member of the National Credit Union Foundation. She is a current board member of myCUmortgage, on the Advisory Council for American Share Insurance, and a member of the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce and Fairlawn Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of ATHENA International – Akron Chapter and a member of the KNOW (Knowledgeable Network of Women).
Bartolomucci earned her Management Degree from the University of Akron and her Certified Chief Executive Business Designation (CCE) from The Wharton School, Cornell University and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
