In August, the GECU Board of Directors voted to approve the merger of GECU with Towpath Credit Union. It is our honor and pleasure to welcome you as a Member-owner to Towpath Credit Union. Towpath CU has proudly served Summit County communities since 1936 to promote financial wellness through our not-for-profit model. Towpath CU is a growing and thriving, community financial institution, and we are excited to have you as part of our family.

Over the last several months your accounts have transitioned to become Towpath CU accounts with the date of final transfer scheduled to be Tuesday, November 1st, 2022. Please rest assured that during this period of transition, we will work tirelessly to make sure all transactions are routed properly to give you time to provide your new account and routing number to your payroll department and any other institutions that transact on your GECU account(s).

We want to assure you that the GECU Team – Robin and Edie – are here to help you through the transition and have become part of our Towpath family as well. The last day in the existing GECU branch was Monday, October 31st, 2022, and now they will work from the Towpath CU Portage Lakes branch to continue to help us serve you, our newest Members.
