Towpath Credit Union and The Ohio Credit Union Foundation are offering Ohio undergraduate credit union members the opportunity to apply for up to $6,500 in video-based scholarships by creating a 60-second to 2½-minute video answering the following prompt:
“Pick one of the five fundamentals of credit unions and use it to convince your best friend why it's better to use a credit union than any other kind of financial institution.”
The five fundamentals of credit unions are
- Cooperative business model
- Not-for-profit financial institution
- Democratically controlled (one member, one vote)
- With a board of directors comprised of its member-owners
To be eligible for the Towpath Credit Union video scholarship, entrants must be a Member of Towpath Credit Union who is in good standing and currently attends or has been accepted to attend a college or university, in pursuit of an undergraduate degree.
Any member of an Ohio-based credit union who is in good standing and currently attends or has been accepted to attend a college or university, in pursuit of an undergraduate degree, may apply for the Ohio Credit Union Foundation Video Scholarship. Proof of acceptance/enrollment will need to be submitted upon request.
All video applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 to be eligible.
